CoalTek offers a new option for coal producers who may be mining a lower ranked coal that is difficult to market or sell at a desirable price.

"Our process can improve low-grade coal to make it more marketable," explained Rolando Sanz-Guerrero, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "The CoalTek solution increases the coal's BTU and might reduce some environmentally sensitive elements."

In years to come, Sanz-Guerrero believes CoalTek's unique technology could help to access, clean and increase the use of the nation's abundant, domestic, coal reserves. "This provides an energy solution that may displace our dependency on foreign oil."
